On May 17, 2026, the Chi­na-Cen­tral Asia Legal Ser­vices Coop­er­a­tion Cen­ter (CAOK­BA) office host­ed a meet­ing with a large del­e­ga­tion of Chi­nese lawyers who had arrived in Bishkek for a series of dis­cus­sions, expe­ri­ence exchange, and net­work­ing as part of the glob­al «Belt and Road» Ini­tia­tive. The pro­gram includ­ed a Sym­po­sium on «Ensur­ing the Rule of Law on the Great Silk Road: Joint­ly Cre­at­ing Con­di­tions for Open­ness and Inte­gra­tion in the Sphere of Legal Ser­vices.» The vis­it of this large del­e­ga­tion of for­eign lawyers to the Kyr­gyz cap­i­tal was prompt­ed by the increas­ing invest­ment of Chi­nese cor­po­ra­tions in major projects in Cen­tral Asian coun­tries, which has led to a sig­nif­i­cant increase in demand for legal ser­vices from Chi­nese busi­ness­men in recent years. Among the invit­ed guests was Yang Yisi, a promi­nent attor­ney from the major Bei­jing law firm “Bei­jing Heng­du Law Firm”, with whom the Kyr­gyz Bar Asso­ci­a­tion held a series of meet­ings and dis­cus­sions, dur­ing which it estab­lished close inter­na­tion­al part­ner­ships and strong friend­ly ties.

 

The fol­low­ing day, May 18, 2026, a for­mal cer­e­mo­ny was held at the Bishkek office of the Chi­na Affairs Bureau under the Kyr­gyz Bar Asso­ci­a­tion to present attor­ney Yang Yisi a cer­tifi­cate appoint­ing her as a mem­ber of the Expert Coun­cil of the Kyr­gyz-Chi­nese Cen­ter for Legal Aid to Cit­i­zens for a peri­od of three years. An infor­ma­tion­al wall plaque bear­ing the name of the renowned Bei­jing Heng­du Law Firm was also pre­sent­ed. The selec­tion of Ms. Yang Yisi as an expert not only rec­og­nizes her pro­fes­sion­al qual­i­ties and exten­sive expe­ri­ence in pro­vid­ing inter­na­tion­al legal ser­vices, but also fur­ther pro­motes Heng­du Law Firm’s active par­tic­i­pa­tion in coop­er­a­tion in the field of legal ser­vices and the res­o­lu­tion of cross-bor­der eco­nom­ic dis­putes between busi­ness enti­ties in Chi­na and Cen­tral Asian countries.

 

It should be not­ed that dur­ing a friend­ly vis­it to Chi­na in Novem­ber 2025, the del­e­ga­tion of the Kyr­gyz Bar Asso­ci­a­tion had the hon­or of meet­ing with Ms. Ling Gao, an attor­ney at Bei­jing Heng­du Law Firm, with whom friend­ly ties and part­ner­ships were estab­lished. Ms. Yang Yisi’s vis­it to Bishkek fur­ther strength­ened the friend­ship bridge with this law firm, estab­lish­ing clos­er ties between lawyers in Chi­na and Kyr­gyzs­tan. Both sides expressed a sin­cere inter­est in expand­ing inter­na­tion­al coop­er­a­tion and pro­mot­ing legal ser­vices in the mar­kets of both coun­tries. This coop­er­a­tion opens new hori­zons for the pro­vi­sion of high-qual­i­ty legal ser­vices in both the Kyr­gyz Repub­lic and the People’s Repub­lic of China.
