Establishing a Partnership with Beijing Hengdu Law Firm

On May 17, 2026, the China-Central Asia Legal Services Cooperation Center (CAOKBA) office hosted a meeting with a large delegation of Chinese lawyers who had arrived in Bishkek for a series of discussions, experience exchange, and networking as part of the global «Belt and Road» Initiative. The program included a Symposium on «Ensuring the Rule of Law on the Great Silk Road: Jointly Creating Conditions for Openness and Integration in the Sphere of Legal Services.» The visit of this large delegation of foreign lawyers to the Kyrgyz capital was prompted by the increasing investment of Chinese corporations in major projects in Central Asian countries, which has led to a significant increase in demand for legal services from Chinese businessmen in recent years. Among the invited guests was Yang Yisi, a prominent attorney from the major Beijing law firm “Beijing Hengdu Law Firm”, with whom the Kyrgyz Bar Association held a series of meetings and discussions, during which it established close international partnerships and strong friendly ties.

The following day, May 18, 2026, a formal ceremony was held at the Bishkek office of the China Affairs Bureau under the Kyrgyz Bar Association to present attorney Yang Yisi a certificate appointing her as a member of the Expert Council of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Center for Legal Aid to Citizens for a period of three years. An informational wall plaque bearing the name of the renowned Beijing Hengdu Law Firm was also presented. The selection of Ms. Yang Yisi as an expert not only recognizes her professional qualities and extensive experience in providing international legal services, but also further promotes Hengdu Law Firm’s active participation in cooperation in the field of legal services and the resolution of cross-border economic disputes between business entities in China and Central Asian countries.

It should be noted that during a friendly visit to China in November 2025, the delegation of the Kyrgyz Bar Association had the honor of meeting with Ms. Ling Gao, an attorney at Beijing Hengdu Law Firm, with whom friendly ties and partnerships were established. Ms. Yang Yisi’s visit to Bishkek further strengthened the friendship bridge with this law firm, establishing closer ties between lawyers in China and Kyrgyzstan. Both sides expressed a sincere interest in expanding international cooperation and promoting legal services in the markets of both countries. This cooperation opens new horizons for the provision of high-quality legal services in both the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China.
