On May 17, 2026, the Chi­na-Cen­tral Asia Legal Ser­vices Coop­er­a­tion Cen­ter (CAOK­BA) office host­ed a meet­ing with a large del­e­ga­tion of Chi­nese lawyers who had arrived in Bishkek for a series of dis­cus­sions, exchange of expe­ri­ences, and net­work­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties with­in the frame­work of the glob­al “One Belt, One Road» ini­tia­tive. The pro­gram includ­ed a sym­po­sium on «Ensur­ing the Rule of Law on the Silk Road: Joint­ly Cre­at­ing Con­di­tions for Open­ness and Inte­gra­tion in the Sphere of Legal Services”.

Among the guests were Sun Gang, a mem­ber of the Man­age­ment Com­mit­tee of Bei­jing Tianchi Jun­tai Law Firm, and Tang Liang, an attor­ney at Bei­jing Tianchi Jun­tai Law Firm, with whom the Kyr­gyz Bar Asso­ci­a­tion has estab­lished close part­ner­ships and strong friend­ly relations.

Bei­jing Tianchi Jun­tai Law Firm is a large, mul­ti-dis­ci­pli­nary law firm with a rich his­to­ry and a high rep­u­ta­tion in the Chi­nese legal ser­vices mar­ket. Found­ed in 1994, it is one of the lead­ing law firms in Chi­na in terms of size, with 35 offices nation­wide and 17 spe­cial­ized depart­ments cov­er­ing vir­tu­al­ly all areas of legal practice.

In 2024, the author­i­ta­tive Asian Legal Busi­ness mag­a­zine ranked it among the top 30 law firms in the coun­try. Tianchi Jun­tai Law Firm employs over 2,000 prac­tic­ing lawyers, all of whom grad­u­at­ed from lead­ing law schools and affil­i­at­ed col­leges and uni­ver­si­ties, and also has a robust tech­ni­cal sup­port team.

Lawyers Sun Gang and Tang Liang shared their expe­ri­ences with their Kyr­gyz col­leagues, dis­cussed China’s legal sys­tem, inter­na­tion­al arbi­tra­tion dis­pute res­o­lu­tion, and expressed a desire for close, long-term coop­er­a­tion in pro­vid­ing legal ser­vices to busi­ness­es and pro­tect­ing for­eign investors.

On May 18, 2026, a cer­e­mo­ny was held at the Bishkek office of the Chi­nese Affairs Bureau of the Kyr­gyz Bar Asso­ci­a­tion to present attor­neys Sun Gang and Tan Liang with cer­tifi­cates of appoint­ment as mem­bers of the Expert Coun­cil of the Kyr­gyz-Chi­nese Cen­ter for Legal Aid to Cit­i­zens for a term of three years. They were also­p­re­sent­ed with an infor­ma­tion­al wall plaque bear­ing the name of the renowned Bei­jing law firm “Tianchi Jun­tai”, head­quar­tered in the Chaoyang District.
