Kempir-Abad case: Justice has been duly served, and the rule of law has been upheld

Today March 27, 2026, the Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Bishkek City Court, presided over by Adis Momunaliev, having examined in a closed court hearing the prosecutorial appeal submission in the criminal proceedings against the acquitted defendants in the case concerning the Committee for the Protection of the Kempir-Abad Reservoir, dismissed the arguments advanced by the State prosecution and upheld the lawful and well-founded acquittal previously rendered by Judge Marat Sydykov of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.

Accordingly, all defendants in this politically motivated criminal case are deemed acquitted.
